Chiara sings 17th in the first semi-final
17 March 2009

Chiara has been drawn to sing in the 17th place in the first semi-final of the European Song Contest on May 12, the penultimate position. The draw of the running order was made by lots in Moscow.  Malta was drawn as the first wild card, and as agreed before with Chiara, Malta picked the penultimate position.  This is considered favourable for Chiara, who will be participating in the contest for the third time. She came third and second in her previous attempts.

Chiara will sing What if we.

The participants in the first semi-final, in running order, are: Montenegro, Czech Republic, Belgium, Belarus, Sweden, Armenia, Andorra, Switzerland, Turkey, Israel, Bulgaria, Iceland, FYR Macedonia, Romania, Finland, Portugal , Malta and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

In the meantime the official video clip of the Maltese entry was released last Saturday during PBS's Saturday afternoon show.
